Create quizzes and glossaries easily.
This is a good tool for those who just want to write the text of their questions and want to save a little time. The learning curve for this type of resource may be a little high for new Moodlers but once you get going you might want to give it a shot if you find yourself using a lot of quizzes.

Several universities publish their course materials for free online, under the OpenCourseWare (OCW) initiative. OCW Search is an independent search engine that indexes all these courses so you can find these courses faster.
Far created OCWSearch.com, a search engine that indexes not just course offerings, but course content. Launched two weeks ago, OCWSearch.com contains OpenCourseWare offerings from M.I.T., Stanford and Open University, and Far hopes to add the University of Massachusetts within the next day or so.

This is a template I created for beginners that has examples of what many of the Moodle activities and resources are as well as a zipped file of the course at the end.
It does not require an enrollment key and guests are welcome to copy the file and use it as they'd like.
